On World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Humanity, an NGO, conducts an awareness campaign

DHUBRI: On the occasion of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, the Humanity, an NGO, conducted an awareness campaign and distributed free sanitary napkins among the girls and women at Dhubri office premises of Semanta Chetana Mancha Purvottar here on Sunday.

The awareness programme was attended by chairman of Dhubri Municipal Board Dr Debamoy Sanyal,Dhubri ADC Nitya Binod Warie, Dhubri District Transport Officer, Purabi Kalita, Dhubri Joint Director of Health, Dr.J.B.Roy and doctor from Dhubri Medical College and Hospital, Dr.Syeda Jesmin Rahman. All the invitees spoke on menstrual hygiene. Founder and secretary of Humanity, Sudip Kumar Kundu informed The Sentinel that around 500 sanitary napkins were distributed and another 1500 sanitary napkins will be distribute in the next two days.
