One arrested Dhrubajyoti Goswami from Rihabari area in Guwahati

NAGAON: Following an investigation into a cyber crime, a police team led by SI Taranga Patowari, incharge officer of Haiborgaon Town Outpost, arrested one Dhrubajyoti Goswami from Rihabari area in Guwahati, sources added.

Sources claimed that Goswami was allegedly involved in creating fake facebook ID in the name of a woman hailing from Nagaon and uploading objectionable posts as well as obscene photographs in the FB from his mobile. The victim woman lodged an FIR in this regard a few days back and police investigated the case in detail after registering the case, sources said adding that police seized his mobile phone and a laptop where police found all those objectionable posts and obscene photographs as submitted by the complainant woman.

Meanwhile based on a secret inputs, a police team from Narcotics Squad conducted a raid at a rented house of one Jalaluddin (33) at Vidya Nagar near Nagaon Dhing Gate and arrested Jalaluddin of Chatiyaan under Juria PS on spot. Police immediately seized one box filled with suspected heroin from his possession, sources added.
