One arrested for offering a bribe of Rs 15 lakh in Morigaon

MORIGAON: Morigaon Superintendent of Police Dr Nandan Shing Borkola on Wednesday caught one Mannaz Ali red-handed when the accused came to his office for offering a bribe of Rs 15 lakh. According to the SP, a police team led him arrested five persons for allegedly selling illicit sugarcane molasses at Borthal Kacharigaon under Moirabari PS in the district few days ago. But the leader of the gang has been absconding since then and he tried to offer a bribe to the SP. Mannaz Ali came to the SP's office on Wednesday with a bag containing Rs 15 lakh but he was arrested.
