One arrested with fake gold biscuits in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Acting on a tip-off, based on input provided by Gajraj Military Intelligence, Sonitpur Police launched an operation and arrested one person with fake gold biscuits near Mission Charali under Tezpur Sadar Police Station. The arrested person has been identified as Amir Hussain (23), resident of Khalihamari in Sonitpur district on Sunday. Amir Hussain was allegedly involved in selling fake gold and duping defence personnel posted in and around Tezpur and Solmara Military Stations. Two fake gold biscuits, one motorcycle bearing registration number AS12 AE 5147 and one mobile phone were recovered from him, official sources said.
