One dies of Covid at AMCH in Dibrugarh

DEMOW: Manuranjan Phukan, a police constable, who hails from Demow Santipur died at AMCH in Dibrugarh on Friday night. According to sources, Manuranjan Phukan was working as a police constable in Sonari Police Station. He was suffering from fever and on July 14, he got admitted to District Civil Hospital situated in Sonari Rajapukhuri. After he tested Covid positive, he was sent to Dibrugarh for better treatment. Manuranjan Phukan died when he was undergoing treatment in Dibrugarh. His last rites were performed in Demow on Saturday by following strict Covid protocols. He has left behind his wife, son and a host of relatives. (IANS)
