One drowns to death in wave of flood in Tinsukia district

TINSUKIA: With the death of another person at Phillobari on Sunday, the number of persons drowned in this current wave of flood has risen to four in Tinsukia district. Three persons who had drowned in Dangori River after their boat capsized on Friday and were washed away by swirling flood current, remained untraced despite rescue operation by NDRF. Bablu Mura (17) along with his few friends went for bathing to Moilajan, a rivulet of River Kakojan under Phillobari PS on Sunday, and drowned. His body was retrieved on Monday while Ajoy Proja (22) of Longsowal drowned on Sunday in Dibru River. The other deceased persons are Bishnu Tanti (42) and Ilias Khaklo (32).
