DIBRUGARH: The Dibrugarh district has also entered the COVID-19 map following a person, who was under quarantine here at Hotel Devika, tested COVID-19 positive.

The patient, Indeswar Mili, a resident of Lezai Miri Pathar Gaon, Barbaruah, reached Dibrugarh by rail on May 18 from Tamil Nadu and after initial screening, had been put under hotel quarantine here.

Meanwhile, all total 92 passengers reached Banipur Railway Station by special train provided by Railway to transport stranded people in other States. Out of 92 passengers, 23 were from Dibrugarh, 34 from Tinsukia, one from Charaideo, 10 from Lakhimpur, three from Sivsagar, seven from Dhemaji, while 14 were from Arunachal Pradesh. All the passengers were screened at the railway station and later transported to their respective districts by officials of the respective districts.
