One held on attempt to rape charges in Singimari area of Bongaigaon district

BONGAIGAON: The North Salmara Police has arrested a person for allegedly trying to rape a woman in Singimari area of Bongaigaon district. According to reports, a 40-year-old married woman has alleged that her neighbor, the accused, Pabitra Ray (38) tried to rape her on Friday night. In this regard, she lodged an FIR at North Salmara Police out post following which Ray was arrested. The further investigation is on.
