One killed, 5 injured in road mishap on Jagiroad -Morigaon road

JAGIROAD: One person died on the spot and five others sustained severe injury when a truck bearing registration no.AS21 C 7687 turned turtle on Jagiroad -Morigaon road at Chenimari on Monday. The deceased was identified as Niraj Ali. Jagiroad police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and shifted the injured to GMCH. Overloaded trucks allegedly ply on the busy road violating traffic rules under the very nose of the Jagiroad traffic branch. It is also alleged that vehicles are haphazardly parked on the Jagiroad-Morigaon road and the police merely avoid the situation by putting a ‘No parking’ board. Conscious citizens have urged the authority to look into the matter seriously.
