One killed and six injured in road accident under Tamulpur subdivision in Baksa district

BAKSA: A woman was killed and six other women were seriously injured in a road accident that occurred at Nagrijuli on Tamulpur-Nagrijuli-Udalguri road under Tamulpur subdivision in Baksa district on Sunday. The deceased woman has been identified as Dewari Munda of No 6 line of Nagrijuli Tea Estate. The injured women have been identified as Suwani Munda (47), Negi Munda (47), Dilsho Munda (47), Ajnati Munda (45), and Birshi Munda (47). According to the locals the group of women went to Bholajhar to particiapte in a funeral ceremony. They were hit by a Maximo vehicle bearing registration number AS 03 T 1830. Receiving the information, in-charge of Nagrijuli Police Out Post SI Manoj Das, ASI Prafulla Kumar Brahma arrived at the spot with a police team. The police team recovered all the injured persons and shifted them to Nagrijuli Model Hospital. Dewari Munda was declared dead by the doctors. On the other hand after providing primary treatment, other six seriously injured women were referred to Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
