One killed in a road mishap at Numaligarh

GOLAGHAT/NUMALIGARH: A motorbike rider was killed while the pillion was severely injured in a road accident that took place on NH-37 near Bongaon, Numaligarh on Saturday.

The motorbike (registration no AS-05-D-4623) collided head-on with a truck (registration no. AS-01-DC-2573). As per information received, the deceased motorbike rider has been identified as TrinayanChutia (24) and the injured pillion has been identified as Ghanashyam Bora (25). The severely injured pillion of the motorbike was first taken to Kamargaon Primary health Centre and then to Golaghat KK Civil Hospital by Kamargaon Police. Due to his critical health condition, he was shifted to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for better treatment. Both the motorbike rider and the pillion belong to Salikihaat area of Golaghat.
