DIBRUGARH: A fish trader was killed in an road accident at Bogibeel bridge on Tuesday morning. The person have been identified as Gokul Mili (27) of the Dhemaji district. Sub-Inspector Diganta Hazarika of Dambuk police station, Dhemaji, who is the investigating officer (IO) of the case said that the victim Gokul Mili, a fish trader of Tinighoria of Silapathar area in the Dhemaji district, had come to Dibrugarh on his motorcycle to purchase fish. While returning he tried to overtake a Tata Fortuner car over the Bogibeel Bridge in full speed and collided head on with a Mitsubishi Pajero car (AR-01-H 1975) coming from the opposite direction from the Dhemaji side. Spinning out of control, the Pajero also hit the Fortuner car. The critically injured bike rider was brought to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) where he was later declared dead. The occupants of the Pajero car also suffered minor injuries.
