One killed, two seriously injured in a road mishap at Tamulpur

Tamulpur: One youth was killed and two others, including a seven-month-old baby, were seriously injured in a road mishap on the 127 (D) Rangia-Tamulpur-Bhutan international link road at Kumarikata along the Indo-Bhutan border under Tamulpur Police Station in the district of Baksa.

The deceased youth had been identified as Ikram Ali, son of Batchu Ali of Darrangamela under Tamulpur subdivision in Baksa district. On the other hand, the two injured persons have been identified as Jyotshna Begum (25) and her seven-month old son Ishan Ali. According to eye witness, Ikram was going towards Kumarikata from Darrangamela in a car bearing registration number AS-01-EH- 4176 with his elder sister Jyotshna and her seven-month old son Ishan. When the car reached Gopinathpur, it lost control and the accident took place. Ikram died on the spot.

On receiving information, a police team from Kumarikata Police Outpost rushed to the spot and recovered the body of Ikram. Jyotshna and her child Ishan have been admitted in Kumarikata State Dispensary. After providing primary treatment, they were shifted to GMCH for better treatment.
