One more tested coronavirus positive in Hailakandi

HAILAKANDI: One COVID-19 novel coronavirus positive case has been detected in Hailakandi district on Thursday, taking the total tally to 303, including two deaths. Health authorities here revealed that Abdul Kalam Laskar, 37, under Govt VM HS School Quarantine Centre, turned out to be positive.

Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at SMC&H. 221 persons on being cured have been released from hospitals. There are presently 80 active cases. 26 patients are undergoing treatment at SK Roy designated COVID-19 Civil Hospital, 21 at MG Model Hospital, nine at SMC&H and 24 at Algapur Model Hospital. Of the 8,453 swab samples taken so far, 6,779 turned out to be negative, as per health bulletin released on Thursday evening. Results of 1,208 swab samples are awaited. 1,079 persons are under facility quarantine centres while 3,968 persons under home quarantine.
