One person arrested, pistol recovered by Uriamghat police

SARUPATHAR: A team of Uriamghat police while Naka checking intercepted a motorbike bearing registration number (NL 01 E 2161). The police team arrested one person and seized a 32 mm pistol which was made in China with one 7.65 mm live ammunition, one magazine, two mobile phones and two SIM cards from their possession. The motorbike was trapped at Uriamghat Forest Tiniali. A case has been registered at Uriamghat police station in Dhansiri subdivision (case no. 12/2020) under section no 25/1-B/A, IPC Arms Act

According to the source, the arrested person has been identified as Nagen Khaklary (60) (surrendered BLT cadre), son of Durgeshwar Khaklary and resident of Mugapur under Uriamghat police station in Golaghat district. Meanwhile, the arrested person was taken to the Uriamghat police station and interrogation is on.
