One tests Coronavirus positive in Demow

DEMOW: Firoj Yein (22), son of Tongo Ram Yein and a resident of Milankur village near Demow in Sivasagar district, who was under quarantine in the quarantine centre at Sivasagar Polytechnic Institution in Demow Barua Changmai Gaon, tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday night.

According to sources, Firoj Yein came from Maharashtra on May 21 and was under quarantine in Sivasagar Polytechnic Institution. On May 22, his swab was collected and sent to the ICMR Laboratory at Lahowal and on Monday night, the test came positive. He was shifted to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh.
