ONGC Extends Aid To Sivasagar District Disaster Management

GAURISAGAR: ONGC has extended a financial aid of Rs 20 lakh to the Sivasagar District Disaster Management towards inducting three sophisticated and comprehensive sets of rubber boats with outboard machine. The disaster management personnel will use these inflatable rescue boats for search and rescue operations during floods for transporting men and materials. Each boat has a carrying capacity of 10 persons. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Kakran, Executive Director and Asset Manager, ONGC Assam Asset, said that ONGC was committed to the development of Assam since its beginning in the State in the 1960s.
