Online lecture series on Biological Sciences organized by Gargaon College

SIVASAGAR: A virtual week-long international lecture series on Biological Sciences was organized by Department of Zoology, Gargaon College from June 13 to June 21. The objective of the programme was to provide the students wide opportunities to enhance their knowledge and to orient the students to gain new insights from prolific experts to get academic guidance for their higher studies and research.

The lecture series was inaugurated by renowned academician and Principal of Gargaon College, Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta. While speaking on the occasion, Dr Mahanta reiterated that organizing such kind of lecture series gives an opportunity to the participating students to get academic exposure from highly accomplished universities and experts. He further exhorted the participants to take maximum benefit from the lecture series and to closely interact with the experts to seek guidance relating to the technical subjects. Dr Rina Handique, Vice Principal and Head, Department of Zoology, Gargaon College motivated the participants to take more academic and career benefits out of the lectures and to interact with the experts for further guidance relating to research and higher education. The programme was coordinated by Pimily Langthasa, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Gargaon College. The lectures were delivered by experts across the globe who have achieved pre-eminence in the fields of Biological Sciences followed by interactions.
