Only one ADC in Aspirational District Darrang

MANGALDAI: Following the transfer of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Darrang, Pallabi Kachary vide an order issued by the Personnel Department (Personnel A) on April 27, only one Additional Deputy Commissioner will assist the Deputy Commissioner and handle and look after all the works of the office of the Deputy Commissioner here in Darrang. Additional Deputy Commissioner Pallabi Kachary has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner in charge, Bhergaon Civil Subdivision of the Udalguri district under BTAD.

Earlier, the Personnel Department (Personnel A) vide an order on March 24 had transferred Additional Deputy Commissioners Vivek Shyam Pangyok and Sanjeeb Bora on promotion and accordingly, both joined as Joint Secretary in Border Protection and Development Department and Personnel Department on April 1. Significangly, the Personnel Department has failed to make posting of Additional Commissioners in the Darrang district which is classified as an Aspirational District by the Government of India and this may adversely affect the development process.
