Opium cultivation destroyed in approx 10 bighas of land in Guwahati

Guwahati: O/C of South Salmara Police Station accompanied by I/C BHN OP of Fakirganj Police Station and staff conducted a search operation on Thursday on the basis of secret information in Salmara Pt-VI under BHN OP and destroyed an area of opium cultivation in approx 10 bighas of land. Necessary legal action and follow up action is being initiated, stated a press release.
