Organizations Laid Stress On Water Conservation In Haflong

Haflong: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dima Hasao under Keshav Smarak Nyas, Haflong, organized Jal Shakti Abhiyan programme at the Skill Development Centre in Haflong on Tuesday.

The day-long programe was attended by MLA BB Hagjer, Assistant Executive Engineer, PHE, Pradip Dey, other dignitaries and farmers from 15 villages of Dima Hasao. BB Hagjer explained the present situation of water in the district while expressing concern over water scarcity. Hagjer appealed to all to conserve water and also to protect and preserve the existing sources of water. All the speakers highlighted the judicious use of water and its conservation.
