Many former workers of BPF under Dotma block have joined the UPPL which seems to be a major cause of concern for the BPF.

Well known businessmen and entrepreneurs of Kokrajhar, Monoranjan Brahma, ex-MCLA Indra Mohan Brahma, BPF's hardliners - Rupam Brahma alias Raikosh, Andrei Jwhwlao Hazoary and ex VCDC chairmen and block level leaders were among the BPF members who joined the UPPL.

Talking to reporters, UPPL leader and ex MCLA Jatirindra Brahma said that most of the frontline workers of the BPF under Dotma block have joined the UPPL seeking a new change in the region. He said the grand joining ceremony was a major blow to Hagrama Mohilary-led BPF and it is going to prove that the BPF will get zero seats in the forthcoming assembly election.

Noted businessman Monoranjan Brahma after joining the UPPL stated that he started his sporting caeer from Dotma HS School playground during a young stage and he is now going to start the political career from the same field.

When asked if he wanted UPPL ticket to contest from 29 Kokrajhar West, Brahma said giving ticket to someone was a matter of party president and policy makers to decide but he is ready to serve the people if chance is given to him. On existing MLA Rabiram Narzary, he said Narzary was like his close friend as he was with him in most of the programmes.
