Over 2 kg morphine seized from Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI: The GRP seized a consignment of morphine (weighing 2.042 kg) from Guwahati Railway Station on Friday. The police took two people into its custody.

Officials said they took two people into custody in that connection.

The seized consignment is worth Rs 8 crore in the market.

According to reports, the morphine was smuggled in from Tinsukia to Guwahati when it was intercepted and seized.

Meanwhile, police said that the two arrested individuals are under interrogation. The police are investigating the incident.
