Over 4000 Assam Police personnel test positive for COVID-19, 18 dead

Guwahati: A total of 4,421 Assam Police personnel have tested positive so far, and 18 of them have succumbed to the virus, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) G P Singh on Thursday said on Twitter. He added that the recovery rate is "upwards of 93%". As many as 3411 have rejoined duties.

Assam has now 28,208 active cases, while a total of 1,21,610 people have recovered from the disease. The total number of positive cases stands at 1,50, 349. The death toll has reached 528.
