Paddy procurement centre to be set up at Khowang in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: The Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Assam, at the request of Dibrugarh district administration, has issued a notice vide FSB/68/2017/303 Dt. 22.01.21 to set up a paddy procurement centre at Khowang in the district in order to facilitate the farmers to sell their paddy production. The notice further stated that the Food Corporation of India will procure paddy from farmers through this centre at Minimum Support Price, which is being fixed at Rs 1,868 per quintal. The paddy procurement centre is likely to open in the first week of February this year. NO intermediary or any broker can take part in the whole process.
