Pallab Lochan Das emerges victorious in Tezpur HPC defeating his nearest rival MGVK Bhanu

Tezpur: The ruling saffron party candidate of 9 Tezpur HPC Pallab Lochan Das and outgoing Labour Minister has won the Lok Sabha Election, 2019, Tezpur seat, by defeating his nearest rival MGVK Bhanu of INC by record margin of 2,42,841 votes. According to the final result of counting which lasted till late night victorious Pallab Lochan Das bagged 6,84,166 votes whereas MGVK got 4,41,325 votes.

The dissemination of votes among BJP and INC in 9 Tezpur HPC LAC wise, is 71 Dhekiajuli- BJP 98,152 & INC 48,315, 72 Barchala - BJP 71,689 & INC 51,066, 73 Tezpur - BJP 74,055 & INC 66,696, 74 Rangapara - BJP 73992 & INC 43332, 75 Sootea - BJP 78404 & INC 50737, 76 Biswanath -BJP 69017 & INC 54686, 77 Bihali - BJP 55339 & INC 36965, 78 Gohpur - BJP 95447 & INC 49264 and 109 Bihpuria - BJP 65342 & INC 39400.

BJP workers of Sonitpur chapter celebrated their victory by taking out a huge rally throughout Tezpur town. While talking to The Sentinel Pallab Lochan Das said, “I dedicate my victory to the people, Sarbananda Sonowal, Himanta Biswa Sarma and Modi ji. We are happy because we voted for Modi ji. He has made nation proud by taking bold steps against terrorism. He is one of the visionary leaders who will work for the development of our country.”

Returning Officer, Narsing Pawar handed over the winning certificate to Pallab Lochan Das in the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner in presence of the district officials on Friday.

A youth from Tezpur University, Pranjali Das congratulates Pallab Lochan Das for his unprecedented victory. She said, “Narendra Modi is incredibly popular and this is the reason BJP won. Modi’s step against Pulwama terror attack is one of the biggest reason for BJP’s victory. Modi government’s schemes like free gas connection, rural electrification, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etc mostly attracted people. Modi Sarkar won the hearts of dalits and adivasis only because of its beneficial schemes.”
