Panic prevailed among people after businessman tests COVID-19 positive

GOLAGHAT: Panic prevailed among the people of Wokha Garanga and Furkating regions in Golaghat when a businessman was detected to be COVID-19 positive. According to report, on July 12, a businessman named Santosh Malakar (42) went for treatment at Baruagaon PHC as he was suffering from fever.

There he tested positive for COVID-19. Soon he was taken to the COVID Hospital in Golaghat. When this news spread, people in Wokha Garanga and Furkating regions panicked as Santosh Malakar had been selling goods in the weekly market at Garanga Tini Ali and he went there from his house in Furkating.
