Parents of 11-month old child with acute heart ailment seek financial aid in Digboi

DIGBOI: Ritu Gupta and Jiten Gupta of Digboi Bogapani Gwalpatti area under Digboi Police Station are facing financial constraints in treating their 11-month old son, Dilkhush Gupta after he was diagnosed with acute heart complications. According to the pediatricians in Tinsukia and Dibrugarh, who have referred Dilkhush to Bengaluru, the infant needs immediate advanced medical treatment. The hapless parents struck have been running from pillar to post seeking assistance from various generous people to save the life of their only child. "We have been advised immediate advanced treatment for the baby but my limited income does not allow me. I have already spent whatever I had so far," said Jiten Gupta, the father of the ailing child.

"Digboi MLA SurenPhukan has been a ray of hope for us. He assured me of lending financial assistance and opening the child's bank account," said Dilkhush's grandmother. While expressing gratitude to the UCO Bank authority for immediately opening an account for Dilkhush, the helpless parents and have appealed to people to help them.
