JORHAT: Tricolour buyers thronged the stalls of the busy Gar-ali area in Jorhat on the eve of the 72nd Independence Day celebration on Tuesday. Despite the boycott call by most of the underground outfits, people were seen agog with excitement and enthusiasm to celebrate Independence Day. Dr RP Meena, Additional Director General of Police, Eastern Range, chaired a meeting on the security arrangements at his office chamber.
