People throng markets to buy essential items for Rongali Bihu in Demow

DEMOW: People of Demow thronged the markets on Tuesday to buy essential items and clothes for Rongali Bihu celebration. People bought essential commodities required for Goru (cow) Bihu. Clothes shops, groceries and sweet shops were full of customers. The husori teams will perform husori on the occasion of Rongali Bihu. Under the patronage of Nitaipukhuri Egg Fight Association and local people, an all Assam open egg fight mela will be organized in the Nitaipukhuri weekly bazaar house on April 15.
