People throng picnic spots on New Year in Demow

DEMOW: The people of Demow and its surrounding areas thronged various picnic spots on Friday on the first day of the new year. On December 31, the people of Demow were seen going to the markets to buy duck, chicken and fish and arranging picnics at various places on Thursday night to welcome the New Year. Most of the business establishments remained closed on Friday. People went to the Bogibeel Bridge while some went to Dehingmukh, Pasighat along with other picnic spots to celebrate the New Year.
