Permanent Principal of Namrup College appointed

NAMRUP: Namrup College, one of the most premier institutions for higher education in Dibrugarh district, appointed a permanent Principal after many years.

Dr. Durga Prasad Gogoi, who has been serving for the last 27 years in Namrup College as Associate Professor of Physics department, has been appointed as a full-fledged Principal of the college.

Dr Gogoi, son of Sukheshwar Gogoi and Panchami Gogoi from Borhat, has done research in Tezpur University in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology under the supervision of Dr. Amar Jyoti Choudhary, Department of Physics, Tezpur University.

Recipient of Dayabati Rastogi National Award in the year 2010 for the best oral presentation of his research paper, Dr. Gogoi has published many research papers in national and international levels. One of his most important specific works is 'Diluted Magnetic Semiconductor Nanostructures'. Namrup College will celebrate a year-long golden jubilee from September in 2022.
