‘Personality development important parameter of social development’ - Dr. Sailen Das

PATHSALA: A day-long workshop on personality development and mind power was organized in Bajali College in collaboration with the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism and Bajali College Students’ Union. Well-known professional PD trainer, motivational speaker and Assistant Professor of DK College, Mirza, Dr. Sailen Das was invited as resource person for the workshop. Nearly 150 participants were present in the workshop.

Interacting with students, Dr. Das said, “In a country like India, personality development is the important parameter of social development.” He stressed the improvement of moral values and self-awareness for a dynamic personality. “Self-awareness is the mantra of confidence-building that help an individual in achieving his life goals,” Dr Das added.

Giving example of various real life situations, Dr. Das said that one must focus on the body language and be careful about the communication made by it. According to him, time management was very crucial for positive and impressive personality and success in life. The participants were highly inspired and found the session very useful. The inaugural speech and welcome address were given by Principal Dr. Chanda Sarmah and Dr. Karuna Mohan Sarmah, co-ordinator of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, respectively.
