Photo exhibition held at Manja, Karbi Anglong
The Central Bureau of Communication, Guwahati under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India is organizing a 2 day photo exhibition

KARBI ANGLONG: The Central Bureau of Communication, Guwahati under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India is organizing a 2 day photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and 8 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan at Manja, Karbi Anglong from Wednesday. The exhibition was inaugurated by Homen Baruah Gohain, SDO (Sadar), Diphu. Around 40 creatives, including 9 freedom-fighters of the Northeast are featured at the exhibition.
Addressing the public, Homen Baruah Gohain said, "Our nation got independence in the year 1947 and many freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for an independent nation. Many heroes from Assam as well as the other Northeastern States showed their valour and jumped into the freedom struggle against the British. Today, we are remembering them through this photo exhibition."
Gohain further said, "PM Narendra Modi has launched many new initiatives and policies for the uplift of the rural people in the last 8 years. I am happy that Central Bureau of Communication, Guwahati has put up such exhibitions throughout the State to aware the people about these initiatives."
Sadhen Bagerbaigya, Principal of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Manja and Miji Engleng, Assistant BDO, Manja, were also present in the inaugural ceremony, stated a press release.
