Photography Academy Named Tea City Inaugurated in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: In what can be termed as an ideal gift on the occasion of the World Photography Day, Dibrugarh got its first exclusive photography academy named Tea City. Inaugurated on Sunday by the principal of DHSK College, Dr. Sashikanta Saikia, the academy - located within the Upasana Cultural Centre, Banipur - is expected to open new vistas for the amateur photographers of the place. Director of Tea City, Debashish Gogoi, in his speech informed that although photography had made inroads into Assam after States like Tripura, the art was fast becoming popular among the young people. He also mentioned that it was a photographer based out of Dibrugarh who had introduced the art in the State.
