DHUBRI: Dhubri district unit of Piramal Foundation launched a programme with the support of Gauripur Educational Block, in collaboration with a local NGO, Voice of Koch, focusing on the holistic development of children titled 'School Health and Wellness Program' under SEE Learning in Gauripur Educational Block on Tuesday.

Gandhi Fellow of Piramal Foundation, Spriha Gayan informed that, the activists from 'Voice of Koch' and local prominent youths would run the campaign in 25 different schools for six weeks.

The aim of this programme is to provide the required theoretical and practical inputs in order to provide an integrated and holistic understanding and developing positive attitude, value skills and behaviour related to health and physical education at the primary, secondary and senior secondary levels.

Gandhi Fellow in the Piramal Foundation, Spriha Gayan, while talking to The Sentinel, informed that all the government stakeholders, teachers, headmaster and headmistress, and Voice of Koch had come forward to extend support to start the programme.

District Lead-cum-Program Manager Saurav Saikia is guiding in every possible way to help children to know and accept individual and collective responsibility for healthy living at home, school and in the community," Gayan informed.

Headmistress of Dihidarpara MV School, Dewan Mehtoba Begum said that the effort of Aspirational District Collaborative Piramal Foundation would go a long way in improving students' behaviour, self-awareness and self-control.
