BONGAIGAON: In order to mark triumph over coronavirus, thirteen boarders who were under institutional quarantine in Chaprakata MV School and were tested negative planted tress in the compound of the school after their discharge on Friday. Minister of Food and Civil Supplies Phani Bhusan Choudhury graced the occasion and appreciated their initiatives. Bongaigaon DC formally handed over their discharge certificates and asked them to continue following preventive measures. In all the quarantine centres boarders will be asked to plant trees after they test negative and get discharged under the project Milijuli, added DC.

It is noteworthy to mention that under project Milijuli, an initiative of Bongaigaon district administration local people have volunteered in managing the quarantine centres. People are also helping the district administration by guarding the centres at night and are providing information on new entrants coming to the village from other states so that nobody is left out from institutional quarantine during the first seven days, stated a press release.
