TINSUKIA: A conciliation meeting with the participation of leading citizens from Bengali and Assamese communities was held in Tinsukia at the backdrop of the Dhola carnage.
Convened by pro-talk ULFA leader Probal Neog, the meeting was attended by a good number of people belonging to the Bengali community from Hojai, Kolkata and other places, besides leading Bengali citizens of Tinsukia.
Urging to maintain peace and harmony, the speakers- Prabal Neog and Arunjyoti Moran, president All Moran Students’ Union, said that in the hour of crisis, everyone should assist one another in building a bond of trust and fellow-feeling and must not be swayed away by rumours and provocative speeches.
