Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda have congratulated the new Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The ministers have posted tweets, congratulating the new CM, who took an oath today at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati.

Modi tweeted, "Congratulations to @himantabiswa Ji and the other Ministers who took oath today. I am confident this team will add momentum to the development journey of Assam and fulfil aspirations of the people."
Amir Shah posted, "Congratulations to Shri @himantabiswa ji on being sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Assam and all those who took oath today. I am confident that under PM @NarendraModi ji's guidance and your leadership, the state of Assam will set a new benchmark of peace, progress & prosperity."
BJP President JP Nadda, who was present at the ceremony, posted, "Congratulations to @himantabiswa ji on taking oath as Chief Minister of Assam. I also congratulate all those who took oath as Ministers in the Assam Government. I am confident that under the guidance of Hon PM @narendramodi , NDA Gov will fulfil all the aspirations of the state."
The Chief Ministers of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma, Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu, Nagaland Neiphiu Rio, and Manipur N. Biren Singh, have heartily congratulated Dr. Sarma with the swear-in pictures on the social media platform.

Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, who was present at the ceremony, tweeted, "Dr.@himantabiswa Ji took oath as the Chief Minister of Assam today. Honoured to be a part of the swearing-in ceremony. He has led from the forefront, gathering the admiration of millions in Assam & the North East. We will continue to work together. God speed, my brother!"

Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio who was present at the ceremony, also posted, "Was honoured to join newly sworn-in Chief Minister of Assam Shri @himantabiswa for lunch, along with my Chief Minister colleagues @SangmaConrad, @NBirenSingh, Biplab Kumar Deb @BjpBiplab and the new Assam Government Cabinet."

Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb, who was also present at the ceremony, also tweeted, "On behalf of the 37 lakh people of Tripura. I express warm greetings to Shri @himantabiswa ji on being sworn-in as the Chief Minister of #Assam. Under the able leadership of #Himanta Da, @BJP4Assam and its allies shall persevere to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Assam."

Manipur CM N. Biren Singh was also present at the ceremony, posted on Twitter, "Congratulations to Shri. @himantabiswa Dada on taking oath as the 15th Chief Minister of Assam. With your wisdom & commitment to fulfil the aspirations of the people, I believe Assam is embarking on a new journey of peace & development under your leadership as Chief Minister."

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, posted, "Heartiest congratulations to Dr @himantabiswa Ji on having taken oath as the new Chief Minister of #Assam. My best wishes Dada on your new responsibilities. I pray to God to bestow you with strength and wisdom to lead the State to new heights of glory and development.."
