Poet Gopal Singh Nepali remembered by Udalguri unit of Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha

UDALGURI: The Udalguri unit of Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha observed the 109th birth anniversary of poet and lyricist Gopal Singh Nepali at Udalguri. A lamp was lit by noted litterateur Bidyapati Dahal commemorating Gopal Singh Nepali and floral tribute was paid on the replica of the poet. The commemoration meeting was chaired by Kalpana Chhetry, the president of Udalguri unit of ANSS. Bidyapati Dahal, Baidyanath Upadhyaya, Bishnu Sarma Newpane and Gayatri Bhattarai spoke about the life and works of Gopal Singh Nepali. The poems of Gopal Singh Nepali were recited by few poets. The meeting also discussed about holding the Teez Utsav.
