Poetry book 'Gharua Prithivi' released in Biswanath Chariali

BISWANATH CHARIALI: A poetry book entitled 'Gharua Prithivi' was released at Dr Satyendra Nath Gogoi Memorial Library premises in Biswanath Chariali on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by Beauty Gogoi Phukan, secretary of Assam Mahila Kabi Mancha. The book composed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath and well known lyricist Dr Suryakamal Borah, was released by Biswanath Deputy Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngate.

The programme was also attended by Superintendent of Police, Biswanath Nabin Singh, former president of Sonitpur district Xahitya Xabha Indra Prasad Saikia, Associate Dean of Biswanath College of Agriculture Dr Ranendra Nath Burman, Additional Superintendent of Police Kulendra Nath Deka, Biswanath Chariali Press Club Advisor Niranjan Hazarika, District Programme Officer Bedabrat Borah and others. The book is a collection of poems written by the administrative officer.
