Police nab criminal accused of killing & looting an employee of Vinayak Flour Mill

Dibrugarh: The police, based on input received since the last three months during investigation in case no 1974/19 U/S 302/34, arrested one of the prime accused from the Paltan Bazar area on Monday.

The arrested Ebad Ali and his other accomplices, police claimed, shot dead Om Prakash Agarwalla, an employee of Vinayak Flour Mill, on November 19, 2019, near Indgah Maidan, 100 metres away from Agarwalla’s residence, and looted the cash he was carrying.

Ebad Ali alias Amin (20) was also involved in a similar crime in December, 2018, said Additional SP (headquarter), Padmanabh Baruah. After coming out from jail, he committed the second murder and robbery.

“He is being interrogated by our team and we are hopeful that his other accomplices in the crime will be booked soon,” DSP headquarter Padmanabh Baruah added.
