KOKRAJHAR: Hundreds of people turned up at the hair growth camp of Pankaj Pathak at Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) playground on Thursday but the police shut down the camp due to the lack of necessary government permits. The camp, which was held at the Kokrajhar District Sports Association premises, had attracted a large crowd from various parts of the state, including Dhubri and Bongaigaon, as well as from West Bengal.
The Officer-in-Charge of Kokrajhar Police Station, Debjyoti Phukan, stated that the camp was shut down due to the absence of required permits. He mentioned that an application had been submitted for permission, but it was not granted.
Regarding the Goalpara incident, Pankaj Pathak expressed his reaction, stating that it was not related to politics but rather to the medical mafia. He suspected the involvement of a person connected to an Assamese individual working in London. He expressed gratitude for the public’s support, stating that despite the government or administration not granting permission, the people were with him and would help him.
Meanwhile, the police dispersed the crowd at 11 AM that had gathered for the camp from 8 AM, and the participants were asked to leave the premises. The incident left many people who had travelled from distant places in a difficult situation.
