Political parties asked to follow ECI guidelines during campaigning

SIVASAGAR: Sivsagar Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Megha Nidhi Dahal addressed a press conference on Wednesday regarding the upcoming bye-election to be held in 107 Thowra Assembly Constituency.
Addressing the mediapersons and representatives of various political parties at the Syukafa Conference Hall of DC's Office, the District Election Officer informed in detail about the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the prevention of COVID-19 during campaigning in the upcoming bye-election. He appealed to the representatives of the political parties to follow the rules and instructions issued by ECI. He also called upon the media persons to raise awareness in this regard.
Bitupan Neog, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Election), Sugat Siddhartha Goswami, Election Officer and Deepawoli Kurmi, Assistant Commissioner, were also present in the press conference.
