Pothar Divas observed at Tengakhat by Jeeva Suraksha

TINSUKIA: The Pothar Divas (Field Day) on the occasion of paddy harvesting was observed at Tengakhat by Jeeva Suraksha, a Sivasagar-based NGO on Thursday.
Inaugurating the event, Dr. H. Bhattercharjee, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Dibrugarh appreciated the effort of the organization to implement the seed village concept for high yielding variety of Ranjit in the district for the first time and emphasized that the project would continue to benefit the nearby farmers with certified seeds at their doorstep.
SanjibKoiri and SauravDuwarah, executive of JeevaSurakha, informed that the programme was implemented with support from NABARD and KVK, Dibrugarh as technical partner. They also interacted with the beneficiaries about the post-harvest cares to be taken for the paddy till certification.
The programme was held in presence of Khagengogoi, Gaonburah, Tamulikhat, Jamiul Beg, VLEW, Tengakhat circle and GojenGogoi, secretary, BrihottarTamulikhatPatharPorichalanaSamitee.
