Goalpara: The Assam Pradesh Youth Congress on Saturday through a press meet demanded high level investigation into the death of Nagaon Samaguri’s youth congress leader Pranabjyoti Borah who died this week. The political youth wing of Congress party also threatened to sit in protest if appropriate steps are not initiated to investigate the death.

“The body of Borah was found with his shirt buttons exposed at a neighbour's residence.  His postmortem was done at 4pm and police declared his death as heart attack around 5pm which clearly raises suspicion,” alleged Rakesh Chakraborty, vice president of APYC in a press meet at Khagendranath Bhawan, Goalpara district Congress office.

“Borah was also targeted during the Lok Sabha election by the opposition. So, we suspect that his death is not natural and demand a judicial inquiry,” added Chakraborty. Abdul Awal, secretary of APYC and district youth congress leaders were also present on the occasion.
