Pre-Christmas celebration in twin Hills districts of Karbi Anglong

Donkamukam: The Christian community of the twin Hills districts of Karbi Anglong celebrated pre-Christmas in most of the churches on Sunday. The West Karbi Anglong Drivers’ Association of Satgaon organized a Christmas celebration at Satgaon Bazaar. The speaker was Rev Sushil Kr Sangma who preached that the holy month for Christians began from the first day of December and everyone prepared themselves to welcome Christ. “The messenger of peace needs to be welcomed without hatred and killings and only through love,” Rev Sushil said.

Don Bosco High School, Satgaon West Karbi Anglong, too organized a programme where carols, singing, and dance competitions were held. Rev Father Lukas Marak of Sojong Donkamukam attended the programme as chief guest.
