Preparation underway for making new ration cards in Lakhimpur district

LAKHIMPUR: The preparation for making new ration cards under the National Food Security Act, 2013 is underway in Lakhimpur district as per the circular issued by the State Government.

In connection, the preparation for writing the newly-printed ration card has already been started in the district. In this regard, the existing ration card holders of Lakhimpur under the National Food Security Act, 2013 have been asked to provide four copies of passport size photographs to their respective fair price shop holders immediately. Any correction in the names of the beneficiaries on their family members should be intimated along with proper documents through their fair price shop concerned at an earliest, stated a press release issued from the Lakhimpur district administration on Wednesday.
