Preparations on for 8th International Drama Festival in Biswanath Chariali
Preparations are going on in full swing for the 8th Barnam Mrinali Sharma International Drama Festival to be held on January 6, 7, 8 and 9 at Kamala Kanta Natya Samaj Kshetra, Biswanath Chariali.

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Preparations are going on in full swing for the 8th Barnam Mrinali Sharma International Drama Festival to be held on January 6, 7, 8 and 9 at Kamala Kanta Natya Samaj Kshetra, Biswanath Chariali. The festival has been organised with financial assistance from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Publicity Secretary Hiranya Borthakur stated in a press release.
A total of nine theatre groups from national and international levels are likely to participate in the festival. The festival will also feature two theatre groups from Bangladesh and Nepal, a troupe from the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi and several theatre troupes from West Bengal. In conjunction with the festival, a seminar on 'Drama in Education and Professional Competence in Drama' will also be held on January 7at Biswanath College of Education. Several distinguished personalities, journalists will be felicitated during the festival.
