Preparations on for silver jubilee celebration of Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Goreswar

GORESWAR: The silver jubilee celebrations of Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Goreswar will be held from March 9 here at Goreswar in Baksa district with a three-day long colourful programme.

As per programme, on March 9, Chandra Kanta Mazumdar, president of School Managing Committee of the school will hoist the main flag of the celebration. Arun Roy, Executive president of the celebration will perform the programme of the lighting of earthen light while Baikuntha Nath Deka, vice president of the Niketan will perform the homage programme. Hemen Das, land donator of the school, Dhananjoy Basumatary, chairman of Goreswar Municipal Board and Makul Choudhury, Mouzadar of Betna Mouza will perform the tree plantation programme. On March 10, a cultural rally will be flagged off by minister Bhabesh Kalita.
